This gear review unfortunately comes close to the end of this products life, however! there is a bonus to this…. all the remaining units are on sale at a ridiculously low price. This means great things for you out there. You can get this high end chunk of Canadian made audiophile gear for around half the price it would have when it was released. My reply to this? DO IT!! I received my SYD 5 today. I have been eyeballing them for years and have always loved the way that Kanto combined proper build technique with amazing sound and elegance. This bad boy works with just about everything you can think of plugging into it. Personally I love being able to sit down and go through my weekly promo tracks on my macbook pro but it always required me to slap on the hdj-2000's or the sony mdrv700's Not anymore. The Kanto SYD 5 comes equipped with the Cerulian RX bluetooth adapter. So no I can sit on the other side of the room and fully enjoy my tracks without any extras. I can easily tweak the sound to my liking with the included remote. This also allows me to connect to my plasma tv and have some real sound rather than the anaemic speakers that are built in. This unit is surprisingly heavy! it clocks in around the 22lbs mark. You can thank the real wood construction, hd amp and the monster magnets that give this system a really warm and full sound. It also has an integrated ipod/iphone dock so you can drop your unit directly on to the device.

The first time I powered on this unit and turned it up I was honestly blown away. I'm not kitting at all the sound from this unit was incredible for its size. The highs are crips and clean the mids and lows are smooth and full bodied. It truly delivers big system sound without the big system footprint. The SYD 5 is available in an assortment of colours to match any decor.
Need to upgrade your computer speakers? Don't bother, if you are already interested in a media system like this then save your money and just get the Kanto system. Do it fast before they are all sold out!
The sound quality on these is truly a delight. I've used many different speaker systems ranging from cheap to expensive, commercial to reference and honestly, value, sound and quality this is the best packaged system I have come across so far. Bose always sells on the "room filling design" Now granted they doo sound pretty good. but they require an extra bass module to have any sort of soul to the sound and really how much punch can you honestly get for a plastic enclosure. The solid wood design, high quality drivers and ported enclosure take these to another level.
Pride yourself in being uniquely high end?
